[Festi'NDE] Yuri Jeong

I’m Yuri Jeong, Gayageum player from South Korea. I’ve  been playing Gayageum with a sincere aim to spread Korean traditional  music. I’m currently a master student in KU Leuven to obtain wider  perspective of viewing music and culture.

Gayageum  is the most well-known traditional instrument from South Korea. It is  developed during the sixth century in the Gaya confederacy by King  Gasil. Gayageum is central to traditional Korean music, occupying a position similar to the piano in Western culture. There will be a collaboration with Korean traditional dancer “Ina Choi” which will amplify Korean beauty with its elegance.
